The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) is looking for current undergraduate degree level students (or equivalent) to work at its 2017 European Conference Series to be held in Brighton, UK.

This 3-week work placement will provide a fantastic opportunity for work experience for anyone interested in event management and customer relations. It’s also a great insight for students interested in post-graduate study. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to meet delegates and academics from around the world, and experience truly international academic events.

The successful candidate will work along side experienced event management professionals as part of a conference team that manages every aspect of a successful academic conference.


The ideal candidate will be confident, well-presented, self-motivated and hardworking, and capable of working with others on projects both as part of a team, as well as independently, and possess excellent interpersonal and communicative skills. The candidate will be interested in working in a challenging international environment.

Candidates should have the right to work full time in the United Kingdom for the duration of the placement.

Interview: Interviews will be held with selected candidates at a mutually agreed time via Skype between April 15 and April 30, 2017

Location: The Waterfront Hotel, Kings Road, Brighton & Hove

Period: TBA, but between the end of June and mid July (2.5 weeks – maximum 48 hours per week)
