Special Message: Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

UPDATE: June 02, 2020

Due to continued uncertainties surrounding the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic, and especially as relates to the situation in the UK, IAFOR has made the decision to hold IAFOR’s July European Conference Series in London entirely online via Zoom.

This decision has been made in light of the latest information concerning restrictions in travel and access to both the UK, and UCL, the conference host venue. The UK government’s recent ruling, effective from June 8 onwards, forces all incoming travellers to undergo quarantine for 14 days, and then to abide by the same self-distancing policies as UK citizens. We have been in constant contact with UCL’s Institute of Education, but they are unable to give any assurances as to how we are able to use the venue, other than to confirm that the strict capacity and F&B restrictions now imposed by the UK Government are unlikely to be fully lifted by the time of the conferences, and that their accommodation is currently closed for all summer bookings.

This makes it impractical and impossible for us to plan and schedule a large conference, and to control the levels of service that we are able to provide, not to mention to ensure the safety of registrants coming from many countries around the world to London.

IAFOR conferences will continue as scheduled from August onwards in hybrid form, offering presentations both onsite and online through either live stream or pre-recorded presentations. Read a message from the IAFOR Board of Directors.

IAFOR is monitoring the evolving developments regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including travel restrictions currently in place, as countries try to control the outbreak.
