The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) is pleased to announce that Zhengzhou University, China, has joined the IAFOR Global Partnership Programme through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Dr Paul T.H. Chiang, Distinguished Professor at Zhengzhou University, and IAFOR President, Dr Joseph Haldane.
Zhengzhou University, first founded in 1956, was newly re-established in 2000 after a merger of Zhengzhou University, Henan Medical University, and Zhengzhou University of Technology. It now has four campuses, more than 330 scientific research institutions and as of 2016, over 60,000 enrolled students, which includes international students from 60 countries.
Chancellor of Zhengzhou University, Professor J.T. Liu says "this global partnership will be a crucial channel that functions to produce a mutual benefit for both sides” and Dean of the School of Education, Professor Q. Zhou expressed that he is “looking forward to enhancing Zhengzhou’s academic prestige in the international community through this global alliance”.
“IAFOR has been proactive in terms of providing an academic platform for the exchange of theoretical and empirical ideas between researchers,” added Dr Chiang, “and I have witnessed the fact that IAFOR is determined to ensure the development of academic disciplines through international conferences and, in turn, the result of its commitment has been fruitful.”
Dr Chiang was the Featured Speaker and Featured Panelist at IAFOR's flagship conference, The Asian Conference on Education, in 2015, and currently serves on IAFOR's International Academic Advisory Board. He will also be a Featured Speaker at The Asian Conference on Education & International Development 2017 to be held Sunday, March 26 to Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Art Center of Kobe, Japan.
