Conferences

Every year IAFOR welcomes thousands of academics and professionals from around the world to its interdisciplinary conferences, held globally and online.

Founded in 2009, IAFOR has organised conferences in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto (Japan), London and Brighton (UK), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Porto (Portugal), New York, Virginia, Rhode Island and Hawaii (USA), Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR), Singapore, Chiang Mai (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), Incheon (South Korea), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Dubai (UAE).

Over the years hundreds of leading figures from a diverse range of fields and industries have spoken at IAFOR events, where both established and up-and-coming academics present their research, receive feedback, start conversations and forge new connections in a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing environment. Following IAFOR events, presenters are encouraged to deposit their research in the Conference Proceedings, which are Open Access research repositories.

Research

The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) supports original research by facilitating and encouraging research partnerships on an individual and institutional level. Through the IAFOR Research Institute, the IAFOR Global Partnership Programme and IAFOR grants and scholarships, IAFOR engages with global and event partners as well as an extensive network of individuals to both generate research and provide appropriate event and publication platforms for its evaluation, presentation and dissemination.

Grants & Scholarships

IAFOR is dedicated to helping young scholars achieve their research and academic goals, while also encouraging them to apply the principles of interdisciplinary study to their work. IAFOR offers travel and accommodation grants and full or partial scholarships covering conference registration fees to PhD students and early career academics who might not otherwise have the financial resources to be able to attend our academic conferences.
