Biography
Originally from Birmingham, UK, Matthew graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Architecture. In the early 2010s, he gained experience working in marketing, advertising and web design before relocating to Asia to work in the education sector.
A prominent figure in Nagoya’s international community, Matthew is passionate about events and the power that they have to build connections, inspire and entertain, and has founded a popular grassroots events group that promotes international exchange and environmental action.
Matthew is coordinator of events, international relations and marketing at IAFOR and is responsible for ensuring that conferences operate efficiently, assisting in the procurement of speakers and programming, and attracting delegates to events through mailing lists, social media and advertising campaigns.
