About the Journal

Aims & Scope

The IAFOR Journal of Psychology & the Behavioral Sciences is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, international and intercultural journal. All papers published in the journal have been subjected to the rigorous and accepted processes of academic peer review. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research, with the primary focus being on psychology and behavioral sciences. Work that cuts across a variety of disciplines and fields related to psychology and the behavioral sciences is encouraged. Original, previously unpublished papers which are not under consideration for publication in any other journal are welcomed.

Please note that papers already submitted to or published in IAFOR Conference Proceedings are not accepted for publication in any of IAFOR’s journals.

All submitted articles must meet the submission guidelines.

All papers are reviewed equally according to standard peer review processes, regardless of whether or not the authors have attended a related IAFOR conference.

Editorial & Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are peer reviewed by an international editorial team and invited advisory members to assure the high quality, worth and integrity of our publications. The journal’s editorial board evaluates each manuscript’s suitability for publication and provides input on articles’ editorial needs for inclusion in the journal. The editors may also commission articles or accept them through open call. All accepted articles are screened using plagiarism checking software.
